DISSECTING SPECIMENS
The high-quality animal specimens we offer are initially preserved with formaldehyde, but then the formaldehyde is displaced, first with water, and then with a glycol solution.
The result is a very decay-resistant specimen, without toxic fumes or messy liquids, these specimens store indefinitely in a sealed bag at room temperature, However, we recommend that you use them within one year of purchase for best quality.
Some discoloration is normal over time and does not indicate decay.
Single injected specimens have red latex injected in the arteries for better visibility.
Double injected specimens have red latex in the arteries and blue latex in the veins.
